Welcome to our Treetots class page
Hello, we are Mrs Brunt, Miss Hall and Miss Moan and we are very excited to be your teachers in Treetots this year. We will have lots of fun both inside and out of the classroom. This page aims to provide our families with some key information about life in Treetots, useful links to help at home and examples of our fantastic work.
Some important things to start us off this Year...
- Reading books will be changed as and when required.
- Home learning will be given out every Friday.
If you have any questions about anything to do with your child’s education, you can speak to us on the door at the start and the end of each day or via the Class Dojo messenger.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum in the Early Years has been developed to ensure that children acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the Early Learning Goals at the end of their Reception year and ultimately prepare them for a successful transition into Year 1. Therefore our curriculum in Treetots will ensure that children are taught the required skills to prepare them for their Nursery year.
We cover a wide range of topics in Treetots to give children a wide and strong foundation to their future learning. Our topics are based around books and we look at a range of fiction and non-fiction books. Please see the link below for further information.

Early Years Overview for Maths
Maths in Treetots involves developing an early understanding of numbers, shapes, patterns and measurement through playful, everyday activities such as counting snacks, building towers and sorting objects. Below is the overview for the maths topics taught throughout the Nursery year.

Reading in Treetots is designed to get the children's imaginations going. We aim to create a love of reading through a variety of different genres allowing the children to access their favourite stories both through reading and through topic based activities to explore the stories in more detail. This allows for the children to be ready to explore phonological awareness in Nursery.
