School Uniform

School Uniform From September 2025

At Moorcroft Wood, we view school uniform as an essential part of school life. It is more than just clothing—it represents a sense of belonging, pride, and unity among our pupils. A consistent and high standard of dress reflects our shared values and helps create a focused and respectful learning environment.

Starting from September 2025, we will be placing a renewed emphasis on ensuring that all children come to school wearing the correct uniform each day. We will be setting the highest standards and sincerely appreciate your full support and cooperation in maintaining them.

As you are aware, there will be a change to the school uniform beginning in the 2025/26 academic year. Please carefully review the updated uniform expectations below:

Uniform Requirements

All Pupils are expected to wear the following

  • Plain white collared polo shirt (preferably with the school logo, but not compulsory)
  • Grey trousers, skirt or tailored shorts/culottes
  • Plain white, grey, or black socks
  • Bottle green jumper or cardigan (preferably with the school logo, but not compulsory)
  • Black school style shoes (trainers (unless P.E day), sandals or crocs are not allowed)

Summer Option

  • Green and white gingham summer dress (optional during warmer months)

PE Kit (All Pupils)

  • Plain white t-shirt (preferably with the school logo, but not compulsory)
  • Plain black shorts (no large branded names or big logos visible)
  • Pumps or trainers

Winter/Colder Days

  • Plain black joggers (no large branded names or big logos visible)
  • Plain black zip-up hoodie (no large branded names or big logos visible)

Please note: JoJo bows or large headbands are not allowed, and all hair accessories need to be in keeping with school colours. Children will be allowed to wear small stud earrings (which will need to be removed for P.E) and a simple wrist watch. Hoops, necklaces, bracelets or smart watches are not allowed and children will be asked to remove these items.

Please ensure that all items are free from logos, patterns, or decorations that are not part of the official school design. If pupils attend school wearing non-uniform items, they may be asked to remove them, or a call home will be made to request appropriate clothing.

We thank you for your continued support in upholding Moorcroft Wood’s high standards and for helping us promote a positive and respectful learning environment for all pupils.
